This is a demanding, high‑impact leadership role.

As General Manager China & Asia, you carry full responsibility for the overall business performance of HATO in China, with a broader strategic scope across the Asian region. You lead both commercial and local operations teams and own the P&L.

You operate in an intensely competitive market characterized by price pressure, strong local players, rapid decision cycles and increasing expectations around quality, delivery and service. At the same time, you play a critical role in aligning local execution with global strategy, standards and long‑term ambition.

Your mission: strengthen and scale HATO’s China business into a high‑performing, future‑ready growth engine for Asia, while ensuring operational stability and excellence.

1. Strategy & Business Growth

Define and execute the overall commercial and go‑to‑market strategy for China and the wider Asian region. Translate market and customer insights into clear choices that drive sustainable revenue growth, profitability and market share.

2. Commercial Leadership & P&L Ownership

Own the full P&L for all revenue streams. Lead and develop sales organizations to achieve ambitious targets, expand the customer base and build long‑term strategic relationships with key clients and partners.

3. Marketing, Research & Market Insight

Oversee local marketing, research and insights activities in close alignment with global teams. Ensure strong branding, consistent positioning and insight‑driven product and service development, while proactively identifying growth opportunities and managing market risks.

4. Operations & Execution Excellence

Lead local operations and manufacturing in China, working closely with global operations teams. Drive continuous improvement in efficiency, quality, reliability and scalability, ensuring HATO can grow without compromising performance.

5. Leadership & Organizational Development

Build, lead and inspire high‑performing commercial and operational teams. Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, data‑driven decision‑making and continuous improvement, while developing future leaders within the organization.

6. Cross‑functional & Stakeholder Management

Ensure strong cross‑functional collaboration across Sales, Product/Development, Finance and Operations. Act as a senior representative of HATO towards major customers, partners and external stakeholders.

7. Performance Management & Business Insights

Define and monitor clear KPIs across the organization. Use data and insights to steer performance, support decision‑making and continuously improve results.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business Administration, Marketing or a related field; MBA preferred
  • 10+ years of senior commercial or general management experience, with full P&L responsibility
  • Proven track record in driving market share growth and profitability in competitive B2B environments
  • Experience in China required; exposure to international or global organizations strongly preferred

Experience with digital transformation across commercial and insights functions (CRM, BI, analytics), and/or manufacturing or operations management is an advantage
